Darauf läuft ein SUSE-Derivat, das früher UNICOS/lc hieß, inzwischen nennt sich das Cray Linux Environment (CLE).
Upgrade history
December 2012: Installation of Cray XC30 Piz Daint.
November 2013: Upgrade to a hybrid architecture and extension from 12 to 28 cabinets.
November 2016: Update of processors (CPU) and accelerators (GPU) and combination with the Piz Dora supercomputer (More information about the upgrade of Piz Daint).
October 2018: Extension of the hybrid architecture by 2 XC50 cabinets (384 compute nodes).
Nach einem umfassenden Ausbau der Hardware Ende letzten Jahres (2016 & 2018) ist der CSCS-Supercomputer «Piz Daint» heute der leistungsstärkste Grossrechner ausserhalb Asiens. Mit einer Spitzenleistung von über 20 Petaflops ermöglicht er zukunftsweisende Forschung in der Schweiz und in Europa.
Wird wohl bald ausgetauscht, da in die Jahre gekommen.
Vllt kann der Eine oder Andere den günstig reinziehn. Passt doch locker ins Büro
