Windows installer update please?

Hello all! My first post here and already a request!

I have been experimenting the past few days with DXF2GCODE to generate gcode for my new drag knife on my Carbide3D Nomad 4. So far it is taking much find-and-replace in a text editor for the various Z depths and heights. I have gotten successful output and I thank chrisko and anyone else who has worked on this software!

I am a mechanical engineer but no programmer. I use Python on a Raspberry Pi 4 at work to control stepper motors and LED's, but Python came pre-installed on the Pi's disk image and I have no idea about how to compile a program.

Could someone who knows what they are doing, please compile a new Windows installer from the current (as of 2026) source code? I would very much appreciate it. I am using the 2024.11.2-win64_dev version now and do not know what has been improved since then!

Thanks much again!

I also use inches--there is no shame in pure decimal inches!--because many components and tooling here in the USA are inch-based. I would very much appreciate the setup dialog having the option of setting the decimal places as the gcode output does (inch gcode is 4 decimal places, and for example my .0150" drag-knife cut depth shows as .01". Also the .0050" drag depth also shows up as .01". Thanks much again!

Am I right in thinking that you want to run dxf2gcode on Windows (no Raspberry)?

Thank you for the very quick reply! Yes, I am running on Windows. I only mentioned the Raspberry Pi to say that is my only Python experience!

I have compiled the newest developer version 2025-02-13 for you. Unzip and start dxf2gcode.exe in the folder ;)
The issue with the digits is for @chrisko

Danke sehr, spicer! That runs fine (there were some extraction errors on what looked like to be some "localization" files which I assume were for different translations.) I will work with this.
