I have this cuk converter. Since the duty cycle is 1, the MOSFET is always on so there should be no power flowing into the other components. But if I see power across the C1, its going in the KW.Screenshot 2025-11-13 163526.png1763048331334.png

Other components are also consuming power but its in some watts. Can someone please explain why there is still a power loss in other components?

If you measure the Drain Current Id(M1), you will see a current in the kA-Range. The MOS you're using has an Rdson of 2,4mOhms. If you calculate Id(M1)*Rdson you come up with a Drain to source Voltage of about 24V in the nsec-Range. This turns off the MOS-Fet, because the the Gate-to-Source voltage is no longer positive. After turning off, the Gate voltage gets back to 10V again, turning the MOS on again, so the system is oscillaing "automatically". Remember, your duty cycle is fixed with D=1. By the way, D=1 is not a suitable operating condition.

For future correspondence, I recommend you to communicate in German language. So all group users can benefit.
